Behavior Chart
Our Behavior Chart is designed to keep track of each child’s behavior for the week. Each student starts each day on “Ready to Learn”. Anytime a student chooses to not follow the rules and procedures of the classroom, they have to go to the chart and move their “clip” down the chart. If your child has shown rewarding behavior, then they get to move their “clip” up the chart.
All students are expected to model exemplary behavior. No one is excluded from participating.
Rewards and Consequences
Rewards:
*Coupons/Treats
*Special Privileges
* Note: If a serious violation of the rules occurs, the student will be given a detention and parents will be notified.
Role Model: Student will receive a gem each time they reach Role Model and once they have 3 gems they will earn a reward.
Think About It: Student will receive a warning and be told to think about their actions.
Teacher's Choice: Student will be given a consequence from the teacher. (Ex. write a reflection about their actions and what they can do better next time.)
Oh No! Stop: Parents will be contacted via email or phone call depending on severity of behavior and the student will receive a detention. If needed a meeting could be set up with parent(s) or parent(s) and child.
MARBLE JAR
We will have a marble jar in our classroom that will reward the class as a whole. When I as the teacher see great behavior and effort in class the class will earn as many marbles as I choose. Once the marble jar is completely filled we will have a whole class reward. (Ex: PJ Day, Movie and Popcorn, Out of Uniform Day, etc.)
BRAVO Point Board (NOT CURRENTLY DOING)
We will have a BRAVO point board which tallies points for each table group of students. When I as the teacher see great behavior and effort from a specific group they will earn tallies next to their group number. The group with the most tallies by the end of the week will earn a reward. (Ex. 10 minutes of computer/iPAD time, etc.)
